Parameters

Before completing the order form for prescription lenses or loading a prescription, please check the following:

  • Is your pupillary distance (PD) stated on your prescription? If it is not, please measure it and enter your pupillary distance (PD). Pupillary distance differs when viewing objects nearby or from far away. There are two types of PD: Far PD refers to the distance between the pupils when a person is viewing a distant object. Ophthalmologist/Optometrists use this type of PD for glasses that correct from far away. Near PD is the distance between the pupils when an individual is looking at a near object, when reading, for example. Most people's pupillary distance is about 2 mm less when looking at nearby objects.
  • We do not recommend ordering eyeglasses according to a prescription that's older than a year, or according to information that's written on the packaging of old eyeglass lenses.
  • Data indicated on prescription and recorded under abbreviation such as AR or ER, or general ophthalmological examination, are not suitable for ordering new eyeglasses/eyeglass lenses.
  • Please check if the prescription indicates the type of eyeglasses you need: glasses for distance, for nearby or multifocal glasses. Choose the appropriate type of eyeglass lens according to your prescription.
  • We advise you to order eyeglasses with a new prescription, which you can receive from your Ophthalmologist / Optician / Optometrist.
